The 5 fundamental rights that Bangabandhu spoke about five decades ago, the world as a human nation is following today. The ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak has opined that it is possible to turn a state as a humanitarian state only if these rights are ensured for the citizens. He said, if it is possible to meet the needs of food, clothing, shelter, education and treatment, then it is possible to build a state as a humanitarian state. Today, 50 years later, the whole world indicates to ensure those 5 basic needs.

Palak expressed so while speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of the 48th Martyrdom Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day held at BCC Conference Center of ICT Tower on Tuesday organized by ICT Directorate.

Stating that Bangabandhu was killed because of  his global popularity, the state minister said, under the honest, courageous and visionary leadership of smart Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we want to answer the killers of 1975 and the defeated evil forces of 1971 by building a smart Bangladesh by 2041.

The state minister also said that under the third phase of the Innovation Academy and Entrepreneurship project, another 5,000 women entrepreneurs will be given a grant of 50,000 taka by 2025 to create technology-based employment.

The Information and Communication Technology Division Secretary Samsul Arefin presided over the function while Bangladesh Women's Awami League Organizing Secretary Advocate Adiba Anjum Mita, Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director Md. Zafar Ullah, Bangladesh Computer Council Executive Director Ranjit Kumar, Women and E-Commerce Founder President Nasima Akhtar Nisha also spoke at the event.

In the welcome speech, it was stated that, Bangabandhu adopted politics and movement strategies and through the 9-month bloodbath war, the independent nation-state emerged on the world map. But he was killed in a far-reaching domestic-foreign conspiracy.

While speaking as the special guest, the organizing secretary of Bangladesh Women's Awami League, Advocate Adiba Anjum Mita, said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is following the path shown by Bangabandhu. This becomes evident while reading the unfinished autobiography of Bangabandhu. Bangabandhu walking the streets of London said that the roads will be in our country too. Our Rajshahi road is like that now. Among others, Director General of ICT Directorate Mostafa Kamal, iDEA Project Director Mizanur Rahman, Vice President Soumya Basu, e-CAB Finance Secretary Asif Ahnaf and others were present.

ICT State Minister handed over a grant check of Tk. 50,000 to 22 smart women entrepreneurs at the event.
